The EC of Mantra Chatswood, a 165-room hotel and adjoining private apartments of an additional 117
units had not carried out any major façade upgrades in over 17 years. This had resulted in major render and concrete failure and the paintwork was looking terrible.
The buildings façades were desperately in need of
attention and serious rectification.

Miss Judy Ward, the Chairwoman on the EC of an
old 1960’s style nine-storey block of apartments in
Cremorne NSW, was talking to a variety of building
contractors and remedial specialists for a costing to
render and paint the brick facade (over 2,500 m2).

The Owners at Greenwood Apartments, Killara NSW, a Strata complex of 50 apartments received an order from their local council instructing them to remove the combustible cladding panels from their buildings’ facade.
