The Challenge

Birkenhead Quays sits directly on the Parramatta River, exposing its rendered façades to high UV, salt spray and wind-driven rain.

Multiple failing joints and chalking coatings threatened water ingress and concrete spalling.

Traditional scaffold solutions would have blocked prized water views, encroached on common areas and pushed the budget past what the owners corporation had approved.

Our Solution

CPR’s director-led team designed an end-to-end remedial and repaint package anchored by our Portable Elevator Access Rope System (PEARS®):

Scaffold-Free™ Access -
Our PEARS® elevator ascenders and MARS® rope grid gave technicians full-height coverage without a single scaffold tube, keeping balconies, pathways and sightlines clear.

End-to-End Remediation –
Accredited Service Partner Abdul Noori led high-altitude teams who removed and replaced every sealant joint, treated balcony soffits and executed concrete spot-repairs before priming.

Premium Protective System –
Applied Dulux Acratex® AcraPrime solvent-based clear, followed by twin top-coats of AcraShield® Advance. Balcony soffits finished in Dulux Weathershield® Matt for a uniform, long-life result.

Live QA & Reporting –
SkyGridding™ defect mapping fed day-by-day progress reports to Luna Management and the strata committee, ensuring absolute transparency and warranty compliance.

Results & Value Delivered

Ahead of Time, Under Budget – Completed eight weeks early, slashing preliminaries and labour overheads while returning unspent contingency to the owners.

Access-Cost Avoidance – Rope-access methodology removed six-figure scaffold hire, erection and dismantle fees.

Zero Resident Disruption – No noisy tube-clamps, no blocked views, no driveway closures; not a single complaint logged from 148 residents.

Award-Winning Finish – Recognised by Master Painters Australia as the state’s top large-scale residential repaint for 2023 projects.

Long-Term Protection – Backed by CPR’s AssetCare™ maintenance programme and a Dulux warranty for enduring waterfront resilience.

What the Client Said

“I have been in the building industry for over 50 years; I have never seen a building of this size completed two months ahead of schedule and under budget… CPR are true professionals with qualified trade people. Out of 148 apartments, not one complaint. I would highly recommend them if you want friendly and hassle-free service.”
