Iconic Building & Structures

The Challenge

Forum Tower rises 44 storeys over one of Sydney’s busiest transit hubs. The building
manager required specialist remediation to the steel mast and crown wrapping the
45th floor and roof, plus extensive concrete spalling to slab edges and large wall
areas—without scaffolds, without interrupting station and retail operations, and with
strict safety controls around thousands of daily commuters and 700+ residents.

Our Solution

CPR’s director-led team designed an end-to-end remedial and repaint package anchored by our Portable Elevator Access Rope System (PEARS®):

Engineered Scaffold-Free™ Access

Our PEARS® rope-mounted elevators, MARS™ work grid and SkyPod®platforms delivered safe, precise reach to the crown and façade extremities, eliminating full-height scaffolding, hoarding and view loss.

Specialist High-Level Remediation

Rope-qualified remedial technicians executed steel treatment, welding and protective coating at the mast/crown, then moved into concrete spall repair and coating renewal along slab edges and broad walls.

Live-Site Program Management

Director-led supervision, night-quiet methodologies and tight exclusion-zone controls kept the transport and retail interface flowing.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

SkyGridding™ mapped every defect; SFS360® checkpoints and photo records verified specification fidelity and warranty readiness; SE2EPC® governed safety, sequencing and communication.

Results & Value Delivered

Significant access-cost avoidance by replacing scaffold with CPR’s Scaffold-Free ™ systems.

Zero operational downtime for station, retailers and residents; no lane closures

Incident-free delivery on one of Sydney’s most visible high-rise crowns.

Durable protection of steel and concrete elements, extending service life and reducing future remedial spend

Award-winning outcome of acknowledged by Master Painters Australia for execution under difficult access.

What the Client Said

“As a Building Manager for the past 14 years, I am very satisfied with the difficult-access
painting and repairs that were completed on the steel mast and crown on the 43rd floor of
the building.”

– Craig, Building Manager
